WELCOME
Welcome to Aughton Lawn Tennis Club Website. On this site you will find important information if you are a member, or you are wishing to join our club. GENERAL Aughton Lawn Tennis Club is a well established club offering a friendly tennis environment for players of all ages, standards and abilities. We have 4 excellent floodlit tennis courts - 3 beautiful grass, and an additional unlit artificial court. We have a comfortable, purpose-built clubhouse with bar. We have a large junior membership and offer social tennis, team tennis for the more competitive, and coaching for those wishing to improve. We have regular tournaments and social events; new members are always encouraged to join in. Aughton Lawn is a successful and friendly club with over 300 adult members and 160 junior members. We have teams playing in the Southport Mixed League and the Liverpool Men's League. Our juniors also play in a league against other clubs. We also have a full programme of friendly matches against clubs in the area.During the Winter months we have an internal league, amongst our own members. Juniors are welcome and encouraged to play at any time, when courts are available and they have priority on the courts on Sunday afternoons. Seniors can arrange to play at any time - please see court schedules below. New members are always encouraged to join in and to participate in social, competitive or team tennis, as they wish. There is a floodlight meter charge of £1 (tokens required) for 30 minutes playing time. Members can bring visitors. The charge for this is £ 5.00 per session, with a limit of 3 sessions a season, for any particular individual.
Chris Anders is our excellent resident coach, and coaching can be arranged in groups or privately. PLAYING TIMES
