The ALTC La Manga 2018 Tour 7-12th March 2018 was a fantastic 5 days in March organised by Head Coach Ben Obong assisted by Mike Lunt in La Manga.
Members enjoyed 5 days of 6 hard drill sessions in the morning and organised match play in the afternoons with the added benefit of learning skills for playing in the Spanish winds which blew up even in the sunshine we had to endure! Thanks to our coaches Ben, Mike Lunt and Matt Blackburn for keeping the momentum going when we were flagging. They awarded prizes to the man and lady with the most games scored in two afternoons of doubles tournaments. Well done Ladies Champion Ann Marie Peterson and Men’s Champion Keith Mills. Other prizes were awarded for Shot of the week: Mary Ann Ferreira, Off court member of the week: Debbie Williams and Most Valuable Player: Richard O’Mahony.
A team meal was enjoyed in the members club on Friday night organised by Mike & Bryan Lunt and a BBQ on the last night in the Presidents apartment. Good job ALTC Chef Tony was with us!
This successful trip will I am sure be the first of many.
